Across the street (and beyond)

With U.S. hubs in Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington D.C., United Airlines operates the most extensive global route network among North American airlines and is now the largest airline in the world as measured by available seat miles.

United has a proud history in the Netherlands going back more than 30 years, with the airline’s first service between Amsterdam and London Heathrow in 1991 and transatlantic service to Washington Dulles starting in 1993. Today, United operates year-round daily flights from Amsterdam to its hubs in New York/Newark, Washington Dulles, Chicago O’Hare and Houston, as well as seasonal summer services to San Francisco, with further connections to hundreds of destinations across America.

United App

United’s mobile app becomes the traveler’s personal concierge, without having to stand in line at the airport or call the customer contact center. It has been redesigned to make it easier for people with visual or cognitive disabilities, along with the launch of new features that enable personalized rebooking options, baggage tracking information and meal and hotel vouchers if customers’ flights are delayed or canceled . In addition, customers can access flight data, mobile boarding passes, dynamic boarding times and the in-flight entertainment menu via the app.

In addition, United is the first and only U.S. airline to support Live Activities for iPhone, giving customers real-time access to their boarding pass, gate and seat number and the clock counting down to departure time. United was also the first to launch the ability for Android users to see real-time flight information on their lock screens.
